Thoughts approaching the 55th Anniversary of the JFK assassination

For 55 years, a dedicated community of amateur sleuths has worked on getting to the truth about the assassination. Thousands of books have been written, many documentaries have been made along with a handful of films, and countless web sites have dedicated countless hours to debating the "who" and the "why" and the "how". Due to this high volume and mixed quality of the output, alongside concerted efforts to support the official narrative or push false leads through the same channels, the average person has little hope of understanding just what to believe. It is about time this community engaged in a little self-reflection and asks itself what is more important; playing parlor games on who can put together the most appealing theory, or working to exonerate a man who was murdered to avoid a trial when he showed no signs he was going to capitulate under pressure and sign a false confession? Over the coming days, there will be three major conferences marking the anniversary. One is being held by Lancer. It will be their last. One is being held by CAPA (Citizens Against Political Assassinations - which begs the question, are there citizens who are for political assassinations?) One is being held by junk conspiracy publisher, Trine Day. There will be a cross-pollination of speakers between the three; with Trine Day also including a number of grifters, false witnesses and confabulators. . Unfortunately, alongside that group will stand a number of people whose stellar reputations help give the ahistorical twaddle being pushed, a veneer of respectability. Why they do this is a mystery in itself. CAPA in particular seems to be forging a relationship with Judyth Vary Baker, a false witness who has woven her fantastical story into the cracks in the case. It's not like she hasn't been debunked a hundred ways to Sunday, yet CAPA, which is in part, controlled by a number of lawyers, seems impervious to the damage they do themselves with such alliances. This year, they have doubled-down on bad ideas by chasing the ghost trails of the Oswald CIA double - a creature formed in the fertile imagination of John Armstrong in his poorly written, but monstrously sized tome. Indeed, they have been in regular contact with Armstrong in preparation for this latest conference. In addition, we are promised yet another deconstruction of the alleged Zapruder film alterations, and yet another computer animation "debunking" the "magic bullet" theory. Unsurprisingly, a computer animation was used a few years back to UNDERPIN the "magic bullet" theory, so get ready for yet another round of dueling trajectory experts in the aftermath of the conference. But back to my question: do we keep on playing parlor games, or do we do something constructive and feasible in helping to exonerate Oswald? Do we want to spin wheels for another 55 years debating the same old tired shit, or do demand justice for a falsely accused man and his surviving family?

The fact is that the latter course of action will force the authorities to mark the assassination as "open" once again. It is at that point, we can bring forth - not our old or new theories, but the new evidence that we have. And there is plenty of it. You can help by simply signing the petition here
